A very Cocoa Hen Do: Part 2

Hen do part 2 was made for anyone that couldn't make Brighton. It was a secret Midsummer night's dream Hen do picnic! Conjoured up by very good friends. This is the sort of thing we were going for...

With a mixture of scenes from Narnia (the BBC version that I was brought up on!) I love all the tents, the garlands and the scene where a group of animals are having a banquet outside. I may have mentioned this to my bridesmaid's many times.

This is Katie (a bridesmaid) taking me (the hen) to my magical tent, in Endcliffe park.

I'm mainly in shock that my mum is there and has already stolen the nearest baby!

The Marquee was lovingly set up with an abundance of bold cushions, bunting, flowers, delicous food and lovely ladies.

And Babies!

Here is Kate looking very excited!

And look at all the treats! Can you spot some Cocoa goodies...

I was given wings, flowers and more flowers to feel truely magical. This is Jo who had to lie about when she was in Sheffield when I phoned her, so it was a suprise when she came!

And our extra Hen do boys, Mylo, Albert & George.

George was a big fan of the cakes, as was this dog!

 Next up Garland making...

Picnic Time!

A very Cocoa Hen Do: Part 1

So back In July, just as the sun was peeping out the sky we (Kate and I) escaped our little chocolate shop (Cocoa) for a proper girlie weekend in Brighton. Also known as my hen do, as planned entirely by Kate as a suprise for me!

About 4 years ago my (now) husband and I went to Brighton & I fell in love with the whole place and said to Kate 'if I ever have a hen do, it has to be in Brighton'. And so the idea was born! Here is our gang of girls on the beach as soon as we arrived slightly tipsy from cocktails on the train.

And where would a group of girls like to stay in Brighton... A Sweet Shop of course! This Gorgeous house used to be a sweet shop and has been converted to a quirky, girly house of dreams. Each bedroom has a sweetie theme, Liquorice allsorts (my room), Parma Violets, Lollipop & Sherbert Dip Dab.

 Lovely Stamps...

Great idea for cupboards.

Living room of lovelyness.

 Now back to the Beach!

Hot enough for a hen to swim in the sea!

And for a cool down more suprises for me, Kate had booked us into ChoccyWoccy Boudoir. It's like Cocoa on acid.

This one has my name on it, so it must be for ME!

Hey where did all the Strawberries go!

 Mirror Mirror on the wall...

 Strange Pink man...

After getting high on Sun, Sea and Sugar I thought a little peek at a sex shop might add a little spice to the Hen do. I love the paintings on the outside of this one called Tickled.

Reminds me of the butterfly boudoir.

Love Birds.

Next up time for a night out, let's get drinking! Asking me about hen do dirt, shame I am too boring to have any!

Cocoa girls prepping...

 Getting ready for Bridesmaid photos...

And out to a bar we can't remember but we had the dancefloor to ourselves. I believe we were jitterbugging.

This Sunflower was our mascot as donated by Nikki from Sharrow Marrow.

To the Karaoke bar...

Getting in the Groove...

...and singing badly

The rest of our Hen weekend was spent pampering ourselves and playing a game made all about ME by Kate called 'Trival Anne'. Where there so many questions about myself, even I didn't know some. All in all we had a marvelous time and may need to think of more excuses to go back down. Hats off to Kate for creating such an amazing Hen do.
